Design and Technology Technician

Start: ASAP Full Time

Location - Canterbury

Salary: Between 100 and 120 a day depending on experience

Tradewind Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Design and Technology Technician to work at a creative secondary school in the Canterbury area. The role is for an immediate start and will be on an ongoing basis.

The role:

• Support the Design and Technology Department in preparing materials, equipment and resources for practical lessons
• Assisting teachers during the practical lessons providing guidance and support to students when needed
• Maintaining and organising the classroom and equipment to ensure a safe learning environment for the students

Requirements:

• Degree in Product Design and Technology or similar
• Experience of working in a similar role within a school or educational setting
• A passion for Design and Technology and a willingness to adapt quickly to changing situations
• Excellent communication skills in order to work effectively with students and others within the Department and wider school
• Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
• Legal right to work in the UK
