Job Advertisement: Religious Education Teacher (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking a qualified Religious Education teacher to join our team for a maternity cover position starting in November 2024 (exact date to be confirmed). This is a part-time role (FTE 0.8), ideal for candidates who can support and uphold the Catholic ethos of our school. Those with a Catholic faith or background are especially encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Religious Education to students at KS3 and KS4. The ability to teach KS5 is an advantage.
  • At KS3, you will be teaching form groups in line with the RE Curriculum Directory.
  • At KS4, you will guide students through the Edexcel courses: Study of Religion (Roman Catholicism), "Study of Second Religion (Judaism)," and Philosophy & Ethics, with all students entered for GCSE qualifications.
  • At KS5, you will teach the Edexcel A Level Philosophy, Ethics & Scripture options and contribute to our in-house Sixth Form Core RE programme, accredited by NOCN.
