Exam Invigilators and Coordinators / Examinations Administrator

Job Title: Exam Invigilators

Location: Ware, Hertfordshire

Salary: £12.29 gross per hour

Job Type: Part-Time, Casual

St Edmund's is currently seeking to recruit additional Invigilators, to provide support to the Examinations Officer during examination periods and on a flexible basis at other times throughout the academic year.

St Edmund's College offers modern facilities in a magnificent country setting in rural Hertfordshire, providing a safe and stimulating environment for young minds.

Duties include assisting with setting up examination rooms; dealing with queries in accordance with JCQ Regulations and College policy; supervising students during examinations and escorting them to areas outside of the examination room.

The successful candidates must have excellent communication skills, be highly organised and have the ability to work under pressure with a good degree of accuracy. Ability to work at short notice is a must.

  • Training will be provided where necessary.

Whilst not in a teaching role, as an Invigilator you will be working on a regular basis in a school in a role which gives opportunity for contact with children. As such, you will be in regulated activity and an enhanced DBS check (which includes children's barred list information) will be required in advance of appointment.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone's responsibility. As with all College staff members, you will therefore be responsible for providing a safe environment in which children can learn
