We have an exciting opportunity at our Wythenshawe Campus to join us as a Learning Coach on a permanent, full time (35 hours per week), term time only basis.

Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people? Do you have the dedication and skills to support students in overcoming barriers to learning? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Learning Coach at The Manchester College. Under the guidance of the DTL, the Learning Coach will identify, assess, and address the support needs of students to ensure they have equal access to high-quality education. The Learning Coach will plan and deliver a tutorial programme to support students' personal development alongside providing tailored one-on-one and group support to students with diverse needs.

What we are looking for

As a Learning Coach, you will be instrumental in fostering both the educational and personal growth of young people on our Year 12 structured study programme with a Level 1 vocational pathway. This role supports students within the Foundation Learning department and extends to other vocational areas across the college where required.

The successful candidate will have passion, drive, and enthusiasm to support and ensure their students receive the best possible education experience. You will have a proven track record in alternative education settings and a strong understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This role involves supporting high-quality education tailored to the unique needs of Foundation Learning students, within a supportive and inclusive learning environment. You will have experience in working with teams of support professionals to ensure every student is supported to achieve their academic milestones. Strong communication skills are a must, as is an ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic success.
