About The Role and Person

Capel Manor College is now looking to recruit a 0.7 Lecturer in English and Maths to teach GCSE Maths and English at Foundation Level across or Mottingham and Crystal Palace Campuses.

If you have a love of the English language and can demonstrate the power of words and hare a Maths enthusiast who is able to explain how to solve an equation, calculate percentages or work out a ratio, we want to hear from you.

The role will involve preparing and delivering stimulating lessons, setting goals that stretch and challenge all students, monitoring and assessing student progress, giving feedback and consistently demonstrating the positive attitudes, values and behaviours which are expected of students.

While applications from experienced tutors are welcome, formal teaching experience is not necessary. We also look for individuals with a passion for their subject and the ability to share this with others. If you think that you can develop intellectual curiosity and create a love of learning, we would like to hear from you.

Full training and support will be provided to those without formal teaching experience. This includes a comprehensive induction programme, ongoing support from an experienced Lecturer and the College will cover the cost of studying towards a recognised teaching qualification.
This is a part time role, working for 25.2 Hours per week. The actual salary is £21,775- £28,731pa for qualified Lecturers and £18,645-£20,638pa for unqualified Lecturers.
