Sessional Lecturers in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
15 hours per week, Fixed term until 31 August 2025 in the first instance - Term Time Only
£28.78 per hour including holiday pay

We are looking to appoint an inspiring and enthusiastic Sessional Lecturer to teach across both our 16-18 and Adult ESOL provision and are offering approximately two positions with an average of 15 hours each.

You will have a proven track record for outstanding delivery in teaching, learning and assessment within ESOL and preferably experience of working with adult learners in particular. You will also be delivering a small range of additional courses to ESOL learners (e.g. Employability Skills, Living & Working in the UK, Citizenship, Basic Digital Skills) to supplement their main ESOL course so a good base knowledge of these would be useful.

You will have demonstrable experience in high quality student support, curriculum development and blended learning delivery. You must demonstrate a good understanding of adult learning context and the motivations and barriers facing students.

The successful candidate will be working with a small team of experienced professional and will be responsible for course leadership and internal quality assurance so familiarisation with the awarding body's course outline and assessment guidelines (City & Guilds) is essential. The position could include some evening classes, depending upon demand.
