Film and Screen Saturday Club Tutor

About the role:

Activate Learning have an exciting opportunity for a tutor to join our well-established Learning for Leisure team based in Bracknell and Wokingham College, Bracknell.

You will be responsible for the delivery of our National Saturday Club – Film & Screen at Bracknell and Wokingham College. The National Saturday Club is an organisation that provides young people across the UK with the opportunity to explore their creative talents, and experience hands-on practical sessions across a variety of subjects within the Creative Industries.

In addition to the delivery of the club, you will be taking ownership of the group, engaging young people in the area into the world of Film & Screen. You will have the opportunity to accompany the group on two trips to London throughout the year, plus many more exciting projects, visits, and masterclasses.

This post is on a casual basis. The club runs for 3 hours per week (25 weeks) in a year, you will also be required to attend various trips throughout the year. As a Casual Tutor, there may be opportunities to deliver further courses within our team.

What do you need to be a successful Learning for Leisure Tutor at Activate Learning?

You will have sound knowledge and experience of Film & Screen, you will be confidently able to deliver sessions to the group, engaging young people and creating special projects to be exhibited at Somerset House, London. You must be confident in managing groups of young people.

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
