Lecturer in Media (Digital Gaming)

Lecturer in Media (Digital Gaming)

The School of Performance, Music and Media is looking for a highly motivated lecturer specialising in Digital Gaming to join their successful team.

You should have experience and appreciation of the numerous sectors of media production, plus a thorough understanding of media theory (textual analysis, media audiences, ownership, and control of the modern British Media industry).

Due to the nature of the courses to be taught, it is important that the successful candidate has a thorough understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite, Unreal Engine and other specialist software used in Games Design.

Experience of personal tutoring including target setting and delivery is also desirable. You should also be committed to providing prompt, detailed assessment of learner work.

Ideally you will hold a current teaching qualification but mentoring and training will be available for those who have not. You should also hold qualifications in your own discipline and have clear evidence of continued professional development.

This is a full-time role across our Hemel Hempstead and Watford Campuses.

You'll have the full support of a dynamic team and opportunities to bring your ideas to the role. Training and development are at the heart of everything we do so you'll be actively encouraged to upskill.

We have a free on-site gym and you can access a wide range of discounts and benefits including a cycle to work scheme, free on-site parking, pension, generous holiday scheme, time off at Christmas and early finishes on a Friday.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 29th September 2024
