Policy and Projects Officer

Policy and Projects Officer

The opportunity has arisen to join the Policy and Projects team at AoC Sport as the Policy and Projects Officer for South East, South West, East and Greater London regions.

In this role you will support the implementation of sports policy and project work aimed at enhancing the sport and physical activity offer in colleges, acting as the lead voice and main point of contact for college sport in the region. Key responsibilities include liaising with curriculum and workforce leaders, disseminating and informing national policies and initiatives, and building strong relationships with a diverse range of partners within both the college and sport sectors. An interest in mental health and wellbeing policy is beneficial but not essential for this position.

We are looking for someone with experience related to education policy, funding and inspection, as well as other issues of importance to colleges that impact on the sport curriculum. The ability to analyse and interpret information and use it to support the design, implementation and evaluation of projects is also essential to the role.

Please refer to the job description and person specification for further details. To discuss this role, please contact Rachel Walker.

To be successful in this role you must be able to work with a wide range of partners to achieve shared outcomes, be equally happy to work collaboratively within a team and independently, be proactive in building partnerships and able to make decisions quickly. It is important that you can review and analyse new information quickly and accurately and use it to produce clear messages for a range of audiences. You should also value diversity at work, be prepared to work flexibly, manage multiple priorities and take responsibility for completing the job at hand to a high standard. If this is you, we would like to hear from you.
