Careers Adviser

Careers Adviser
37 hrs per week, 52 wks per year
£29,403 - £31,350 per annum

Are you passionate about empowering students and supporting them to fulfil their potential? Do you already hold a Level 6 Careers Adviser qualification?

We are looking for a Careers Adviser to join our well-established Careers Service and are looking for people who have the ability to inspire, excellent communication and presentation skills and a desire to help students realise their career potential.

The Careers Adviser position would be working at our busy Norwich campus in the Advice Shop, but with occasional cross campus working at both Easton and Paston Student Centres to offer our careers service to all CCN students. Working with likeminded people, the role requires teamwork, flexibility and problem-solving skills to deal with the variety of enquiries we receive. General day to day duties would include providing booked careers appointments but also assisting the advice and guidance team by providing IAG to potential students through drop-in appointments, emails and telephone enquiries, live chat, school liaison activities and open days. Support for existing students will be in the form of Careers Appointments, planning and presenting employability workshops and talks enabling students to succeed in the next stage of their development. There is also a lot of involvement with the UCAS applications, assisting with personal statement writing, how to apply and making choices for next steps.

The post will include some evening and weekend work throughout the year.

The ideal candidates will be Level 6 qualified, have a background in education, an understanding of the local labour market and knowledge of the employability skills required for various roles and positions.

The role is being offered as a permanent, full-time position with excellent benefits.
