About the Role

The successful applicant will work alongside the Pathway Manager for Music and other peers to plan and deliver an exceptional music curriculum. Your leadership will support our dedicated course team, ensuring the highest standards of student achievement and quality teaching. You will lead the planning and delivery of the music curriculum, support and organise routine team operations, and ensure the efficient implementation of College policies and procedures. Creating a positive climate with high expectations for student achievement, you will develop and maintain course structures and schemes of work. Additionally, you will oversee internal and external examination and assessment administration, and monitor, evaluate, and advise on learner progress and achievement.

Qualifications
  • A degree (BA/BSC) in Music Production & Recording or a relevant subject area (essential)
  • A f ormal teaching qualification at level 4 (CTLLS or eq uivalent) or above (desirable)
Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience in working in education (desirable)
  • A demonstrable record of success in previous roles.
  • Sig nificant successful experience of teaching on the relevant course area
  • Exp erience using Logic Pro, composing, recording and mixing
  • Up- to-date knowledge of the subject area, syllabus requirements and appropriate teaching techniques; an awareness of requirements of awarding bodies
  • Knowledge and understanding of mechanisms for the identification, assessment and support of learner needs
  • Understanding of equality and diversity within the curriculum, barriers to learning and strategies to overcome these
