We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our team to develop and deliver our Outreach and Student Engagement plan as part of our recently awarded allocation from the Innovation Fund. 

Project Outreach and Engagement Officer

This is a full time (36 hours per week), fixed term role to 31 July 2025.  This exciting new opportunity will see the successful candidate focused on recruiting students onto our developing horticulture provision.  With the opportunity to work with our partners and stakeholders, you will act as an ambassador for the college promoting the offer and the fantastic opportunities for students to study on our campus.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver an Outreach / Student Engagement plan which recruits students to our horticulture offer and allows the College to achieve its recently awarded allocation from the Innovation Fund. 
  • Monitor feedback and outcomes from the Outreach / Student Engagement plan, gathering feedback and making recommendations using lessons learned.
  •  Maintain a detailed understanding of the College’s curriculum particularly our horticulture offer and recruitment priorities acting as an ambassador for the College promoting the college offer at every opportunity.
  • Increase and maintain the current network of referral partners to recruit new students and raise the profile of the College.
  • Present the College offer to both referral partners and prospective students through formal presentations and informal opportunities. 

 
 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proven experience of forming, developing and sustaining effective partnerships with community organisations. 
  • Proven experience of forming, developing and sustaining effective partnerships with statutory organisations e.g., Job Centre Plus, Local authority services, housing associations, schools. 
  • Experience of identifying and addressing potential barriers to accessing education for adults. 
  • Working knowledge of support services and referral mechanisms for adults in areas such as employment support, mental health and wellbeing, careers information, advice and guidance. 
  • English and Maths at Level 2 or above (grade 4 or above)
  • Evidence of a commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
