We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw Campus to join our Student Support and Foundation Learning Department as Safeguarding Practitioner on permanent, full time (35 hours per week) basis.

As a Safeguarding Practitioner, you will be a member of the TMC Cross-College Safeguarding Team, providing effective and timely safeguarding support and interventions for student in need of safeguarding and protection.

You will work with the Safeguarding Lead to manage and respond to safeguarding alerts, disclosures and referrals. You will also be a point of contact for advice, guidance, and support for colleagues within the college.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in a relevant subject - Coaching / Mentoring /Teaching or Social/Youth Work.
  • Hold Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
  • Experience of providing safeguarding and/or welfare support to children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
  • Experience of working or volunteering with Young People and / or Vulnerable Adults.
