We are seeking an English Lecturer to join a college in Derby on a temporary basis. The role involves teaching Functional Skills English from Entry 3 to Level 1 to adult learners during afternoons and evenings, across 5 days a week. The classes will be held at various locations within Derby.

• Deliver engaging and effective Functional Skills English lessons to adult learners from Entry 3 to Level 1.
• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that cater to the needs of diverse learners.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to facilitate improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and progress.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities as required.

• A recognised teaching qualification.
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Maths.
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in English.
• Proven experience teaching Functional Skills English at Entry 3 and Level 1.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate adult learners.
• Flexibility to teach at various locations within Derby.
