Wigan & Leigh College’s ESOL provision & team is expanding!

We are seeking outstanding practitioners who can enthuse and engage learners and who have a proven track record of helping them to succeed in their utilisation and development of English language. We are interested in motivated and skilled specialists who are committed to contributing to a positive and enriched learning experience where all can reach their full potential.

Our aim is to assist students to become independent learners who can achieve recognised standards of English and are able to utilise these in life and in the workplace through providing a stimulating environment that challenges and motivates and using learning technology effectively. 

Applicants will be expected to teach a range of ESOL groups from Beginner through to Level 1, including an evening class.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will:

  • Hold excellent English qualifications
  • Have a proven track record of impact (We will also consider recent Cert Ed/PGCE graduates).
  • Possess outstanding subject knowledge and be passionate about teaching
  • Have an ability to complete paperwork timely and accurately
