Role: Work Placement Co-Ordinator

Location: Tresham College, Kettering

Salary/Benefits: Salary from £24,000 DOE and Qualifications, 27 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, Peoples pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

Working Pattern: 37hrs per week (1.0 FTE)

About the role:

We are currently seeking a Work Placement Co-Ordinator to join The Bedford College Group at our Tresham Campus.

As a Work Placement Co-Ordinator, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
  • Assisting in sourcing work experience, industry placements and work-related activities for students.
  • Ensuring a high quality placement experience is provided for students (Study programme and T-Level placements)
  • Using college platforms to log student data relating to work placement and employer engagement
About you:

Ideal candidates will have:
  • English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent
  • A level 2 qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience of handling enquiries and contacting employers or work placement organisations
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act and HSE standards
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to provide accurate guidance to employers or work placement organisations
  • Ability to keep accurate records and provide reports
  • Commitment to continually updating personal knowledge and skills to increase effectiveness
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
  • Full clean driving licence and use of own vehicle, to work at all locations where Bedford College Group provides a service in Northamptonshire
