About the role:

We are currently seeking a Hairdressing and Barbering Lecturer to join The Bedford College Group at Brooks Hair and Beauty, Bedford.

As a Hairdressing and Barbering Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:

• Preparing, delivering and assessing on a range of hairdressing courses and levels.
• Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
• Managing students' learning and providing a high quality learning experience.
• Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in innovative teaching.

About you:

Ideal candidates will have:

• Level 3 relevant qualification
• GSCE Maths and English (grades A - C) or equivalent
• Assessor Award/Verifiers Award or Willingness to achieve Assessor/Verifier qualifications
• Successful experience of providing training, assessing and/or education to young people and/or adults
• Experience of delivering learning to groups
• Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
• Up to date knowledge of the current developments in own specialist area
• Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
• Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns
