The Exciting Role 

A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Casual Sport Assistant.

The successful candidate will be primarily based at both sites, Nelson & Colne College and Accrington & Rossendale College.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Greet customers, assist with inquiries, and provide information about the sports centre and the Sports centres offerings.
• Ensure the sports centre is clean and safe, and maintaining equipment, 3g surfaces and Sports Halls.
• Set up, store, and ensure the functionality of sports equipment for activities.
• Monitor activities to ensure participants follow rules and address any safety concerns.
• Manage bookings, memberships, and payments, recording customer information.
• Provide basic first aid and report any accidents or incidents to management (Training Provided).
• Help organize and prepare for events or tournaments.  
• Monitor entrances and exits, ensuring the security of the sports centre.

What We Are Looking For:

• An individual with excellent communication, planning and customer service skills.
• A working knowledge of health and safety in a sports and leisure context.
• An individual who can work independently and is calm under pressure.
• Has experience in a leisure/ sporting facility.  
• Can build and maintain excellent relationships with customers.
• An individual who is proactive in their approach to work, and willing to go the extra mile for the sport centre.
• A ‘can do’ attitude and a team player.
• Someone who is primarily available in the evenings and weekends.
