About Us:

Dunbar Education is a leading provider of educational staffing solutions, committed to fostering excellence in teaching and learning. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at a primary school in Rushden.

Role Overview:

As an HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational development and well-being of students. You will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality instruction, provide individualized support, and contribute to the overall success of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and assist with the planning and evaluation of teaching activities.
  • Provide targeted support to students with varying learning needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Lead small group sessions and provide one-to-one support as required.
  • Assist with classroom management and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the effective implementation of educational programs and strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working in a primary school setting, ideally with a focus on SEN.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with specific SEN needs such as Autism, Dyslexia, etc.
  • Additional qualifications or training relevant to the role.
