Lead SEND Coordinator

The Learning Support team are seeking to recruit a Lead SEN curriculum Coordinator to join them in providing high quality support to learners with identified learning difficulties and/or disabilities, who are receipt of an EHCP. The role will provide a key point of contact for the learner and their chosen curriculum area. The role will ensure the seamless and streamlined day to day provision of the learner's support needs, whilst ensuring the delivery of high-quality education.

You will support learners across a range of courses from Entry level to Level 3 / A Level. Learners support needs may include SEMH, Dyslexia, Autism, ADHD and Hearing & Visual/Physical Impairments.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working with young people with SEND support needs, in an Education or Further Education setting. You will have experience of working with the SEND code of practice, and delivery of interventions, offering academic and pastoral support. Experience of working with curriculum teams and Local Authorities may be an advantage. You will possess a level 2 qualification in English and Maths, Level 3 or above qualification in supporting SEND learners or social care.

You must have a sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and Keeping Children Safe in Education.

You will have a flexible and can-do approach; be committed to teamwork and have a positive approach towards all learners and team members. Your excellent communication skills and ability to multitask will be vital to this role.
