Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus funded teaching qualification

Location: Tresham College, with campuses in Kettering, Corby, and Wellingborough.

About the Role

Tresham College, part of The Bedford College Group, is seeking a passionate and innovative Science teacher to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone dedicated to teaching students aged 16-19 within a Further Education (FE) setting, focusing on practical, interactive learning that prepares students for their next steps in education or employment.

As a Lecturer in Science, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons primarily in physics and chemistry, helping students to achieve their full potential. We are looking for someone who is not only knowledgeable in their subject area but also understands the unique challenges and opportunities of teaching in an FE environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, interactive lessons that engage and motivate students aged 16-19.
  • Support students in their academic progress, providing constructive feedback and additional help as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of our student body.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A degree in a relevant science subject.
  • A willingness to gain a teaching qualification whilst in employment with us, funded by TBCG.
  • A strong understanding of the Further Education sector and the ability to engage young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
