Salary: £30,416 - £37,484 per annum (pro-rated for part-time hours)

Contract: Permanent

Location: Sheffield (PennineFive Campus)

Hours: 22 hours per week x 52 weeks per year.

The part-time can be split down further should that best fit the department and applicant.

About the Role

We are looking for a English Teacher to cover maternity leave within the Adult Maths, English and Essential Digital Skills Team at our prestigious PennineFive Campus. In this role you will be working alongside a dedicated team of adult learning specialists. Your role will focus on the delivery of Functional Skills English from Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3 to Level 1, teaching groups of up to 24 in our dedicated English classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching Functional Skills English at Entry 2/3 and Level 1 to a varied range of students.
• Assessing and marking mock exams and live assessments.
• Planning, Teaching and Assessment activities for your individual cohorts.
• Co-developing resources and activities with your teaching peers.
• Engaging with both academy and cross-college CPD to improve your teaching and learning.
• Supporting, Guiding and Coaching students to achieve their qualifications.

Skills & Knowledge

• Conversant with the Functional Skills English Qualification and Curriculum (Pearson).

• A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
