Coleg Cambria is looking for an inspiring and dedicated Assistant Principal to lead our innovative programmes at our Deeside campus. Why This Role is Exciting:

  • Lead and Innovate: Oversee and enhance our Construction and Engineering curriculum, leading a dynamic team of over 50 dedicated professionals.
  • Growth and Development: With over 700 learners enrolled in FE/HE/WBL and school programs, you'll play a pivotal role in their academic and professional growth.
  • Strategic Impact: Work closely with the Vice Principal (Institute of Technology) and Assistant Principal of our Bersham Road campus to translate strategic goals into operational successes, ensuring high-quality learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Leadership: Drive curriculum development, delivery, and monitoring to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Team Management: Inspire and manage staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Learner Support: Ensure outstanding support for learners, handling pastoral care and disciplinary matters with empathy and professionalism.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong partnerships with industry stakeholders, enhancing opportunities for learners and staff.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead quality initiatives, including internal verification and self-assessment, to maintain high standards.

What We're Looking For, Essential Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Degree in a relevant specialist area. 
  • Leadership Experience: Proven record of successful leadership in an educational or equivalent environment, with a minimum of two years of outstanding teaching and learning delivery.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging a wide range of audiences.
  • Strategic Relationships: High level of confidence and interpersonal skill to build and maintain key strategic relationships.
  • Knowledge and Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of teaching, learning, and assessment processes. We would particularly welcome experience in the construction industry

Preferred Candidate:
