Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time teaching assistant to work at a secondary school near Driffield starting 4nd September 2024 and lasting until at least October half term 2024. This is a temporary position, and is cover for a period of sickness absence so there is potential for this to be extended in the future. Payment for this position will be between £90 and £105 per day depending on experience and qualifications. Once back, there is a phased return planned, meaning that the booking may continue in October but as a part time bookng.

This role will involve working within the specialist SEND department within the school, supporting students with additional needs. Ideally the school are looking for a candidate who has experience working within students with complex needs and challenging behaviour. Experience within the care sector is also transferrable for this position. You will be working within different classrooms, and supporting students with a variety of different needs.

Located near Driffield, the school is easy to access from most areas of Hull and Beverley, and is commutable from York. There is a large onsite car park that is free to use for candidates who do drive. The school has a fantastic reputation within the local community, and treats their temporary staff extremely well. The head of the SEND department is fantastic and will support with all queries and development areas. The school puts candidates through rigorous training to ensure that they are fully supported and are equip for the role.

• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
