Your new school

Hays are offering a long-term ICT teacher role at a large secondary school in Caerphilly with a mixed intake of pupils. Due to a vacancy in the ICT department, the school are looking to hire a long-term ICT teacher to start as soon as possible. The leadership team have a strong vision which is communicated well throughout the school to create a welcoming and inclusive ethos.

Your new role
You will work as a part of a successful department and will be responsible for:

Teaching KS3 and KS4 ICT.

Full planning, preparation and assessment duties.

Actively taking part in departmental meetings.

Pastoral duties including parent's evenings.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified teacher, and you will have previous experience of within a secondary school or college or have completed a PGCE in ICT or Computer Science.

Previous experience of delivering ICT or Computer Science.

Hold a valid PGCE.

Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.

A commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils.

Up to date EWC registration.
