Kirklees College is uniquely vocational and offers a wide range of 16-18, higher education, adult courses and apprenticeships taught by industry-experienced tutors to provide learners with hands-on experience in their chosen career path. The college is a highly successful education and skills provider, embedded as an impactful anchor institution in the local area.

The college has a bright future, and we are committed to appointing an inspirational individual to help lead the college at this pivotal point in our development. We are seeking an individual with integrity, who prioritises collaboration, empowers others, and is visible and accessible to staff and students.

Our new People and Culture Manager you’ll be instrumental in shaping our culture - a culture defined by excellence, high aspirations, and accountability, all rooted in our core values of kindness, unity, and excellence. You will have the responsibility of ensuring the successful delivery of your workstream, guided by principles of restorative and trauma-informed practice, with a strong emphasis on enhancing employee experiences and fostering a positive workplace culture.

You will have the ability to communicate effectively, nurture and develop relationships. Reporting directly to the Executive Director People & Culture you are responsible for the development of the College’s culture by ensuring that our values are embedded in our attitudes and behaviours, creating an inspiring place to work, and guiding us in the achievement of our overall mission. You will come from a Human Resources, and People-focused background, and be CIPD qualified.

If you believe that you have the drive, vision, skills, expertise, and enthusiasm to make a difference and help us realise our ambitions, we want to hear from you.
