Role: Before and After School Club Assistant

Pay: £13 to £16 per hour

Location: Various Across Teesside

Empowering Learning are looking for committed, reliable and enthusiastic Before and After School Club Assistants around Teesside ready for Schools re-opening in September 2024. Start times are generally 7.15 - 9.00am for the morning session and 3.00 - 6.00pm for the after school club.

• Darlington
• Durham

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be expected to be a positive role model when dealing with children, parents, carers and other members of staff.
• Motivate and encourage children to participate in activities.
• Help prepare nutritional snacks for children.
• Ensuring the welfare and safety of children.
• Keep a clean and tidy environment ensuring Health and Safety practices are adhered to at all times.
• Help children with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene.

Skills:

• Experience of working with children.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and colleagues.
• Able to adapt to different needs of the children and handle challenging behaviour.
• Enthusiasm, patience and a positive attitude towards children.
