SEND Support Assistant/FE

Experienced Teaching Assistant's / Care Support Assistants Needed - SEND Education

We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants who are dedicated and passionate about supporting children with special educational needs. Our schools cater for children and young adults from 18-24 years old with varied SEND needs, such as Autism, SEMH, Severe learning difficulties and Speech and language communication difficulties.

Your role as a Teaching Assistant will be to support pupils on a 1:1 or group basis with their learning development and care needs while at school. Experience working with children with special educational needs is not essential, as training will be given. However, experience working within a school-based environment is critical, as you are required to have basic knowledge and understanding of supporting children within an educational setting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Experience supporting young adults or children in education
  • Experience or willingness to assist with personal care
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively
  • A valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS.
  • Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 1-6 months
