Position: School Mental Health Assistant

Location: Luton

Salary: £460-£500 per week

Contract: Long Term, 5 days a week (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)

This role offers an excellent stepping stone for those aiming for careers in Counselling, Mental Health, Wellbeing, Social Care, Youth Justice, or related fields. As a School Mental Health Assistant at an SEN school in Luton, you'll play a crucial role in supporting children with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs, including ADHD, Down syndrome, and communication challenges.

What We're Looking For as a School Mental Health Assistant:

Educational Background: A degree in Psychology or a related field is preferred. Previous experience with SEN is highly desirable, particularly for Criminology and Psychology graduates.

Passion for Mental Health: A strong interest in mental health, particularly in relation to Autism and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.

Understanding of SEN: A keen interest or understanding of the diverse learning and behavioural needs within an SEN setting.

Local Candidate: Ideally, you should live within a commutable distance to Luton.
