Salary: £19.75 per hour

The group is currently home to a population of over 5,000 full-time students and around 500 students on higher education programmes. We have over 4,000 part-time or adult learners and 2,000 apprentices where we work with over 800 individual employers. Our Sixth Form provision has a reputation for high academic achievement and excellence.

We are looking for an Hourly Paid Assessor in Information, Advice and Guidance within our Adult Learning team.

Our ideal candidate will be an inspiring Assessor who will be required to deliver high quality apprenticeships and work based training to local employers. You will assess our clients/apprentices in their place of work, and seek to combine a speedy achievement for our employers with a quality product for our candidates as well as developing and maintaining relationships with our local employers. Current or previous work experience in the subject area of the qualification is essential.

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, self-motivated and a team player. As well as relevant experience, you will be qualified to a Level 4 in the relevant discipline or equivalent. You will have achieved an assessors qualification and have a thorough understanding of IQA and EQA.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To effectively implement the online assessment, marking and feedback for a Level 2 Certificate in Information, Advice and Guidance on-line application.
  • Undertake full ownership and responsibility for the assessment, marking and feedback of learners work within agreed targets and timescale.
  • Track, monitor and support learner engagement, progress and achievement of units through the online learning platform.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Has a Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • Has an assessors qualification or willingness to train for one
  • Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
  • has thorough understanding of IQA and EQA including its implementation consistently in a large organisation
