One Garden Brighton is a fantastic destination garden within Stanmer Park. Carefully reinvented and restored by the Plumpton College group, the gates opened the to the public for the first time in April 2021. Rooted in the past, it focuses on inspiration for the future. Whether for eating, meeting, pleasure, or plants, One Garden Brighton is a place for everyone, with things to discover every day.

The gardens celebrate both heritage and innovation and include productive traditional fruit and vegetable gardens as well as a series of contemporary themed gardens which are designed for typical, often difficult, urban conditions. The attraction also features One Market, a retail space complete with a plant nursery, and One Kitchen, a place to eat and drink.

This is a unique position for a dedicated, hardworking, hands-on Assistant Cook / Chef to join us as a full time, permanent member of the One Garden Brighton Chef team. We are looking for a dynamic individual to assist in the day to day running of the kitchen, supporting our events programme and ensuring that the offer and ethos of One Garden Brighton is upheld, and that high presentation of food consistently exceeds customer expectations.

Working with our Chef, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with great produce from local suppliers and fresh vegetables picked from our own garden. The role will suit someone looking for the first step in their chef career, with good training and development opportunities provided. The role will deliver 'exceptional service, every time, for everyone' and champion a service culture within the team. The postholder will maintain consistent standards of presentation of people, service and product at all times.

You will receive bespoke induction training alongside further professional training & development opportunities are available.
