Role: Corporate Events Executive

Location: Bedford/Kettering

Salary/Benefits: Salary from £29,000 DOE and Qualifications, 27 days of annual plus bank holidays, Peoples pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

Working Pattern: 37hrs per week (1.0 FTE)

About the role:

We are currently seeking a Corporate Events Executive to join The Bedford College Group at our Bedford or Kettering college, with travel between all sites.

As a Corporate Events Executive you play an important role in the success of our students through:
  • Leading on the planning, organising and delivery of corporate events and stakeholder activities, motivating stakeholders to attend and engage with corporate events held across The Bedford College Group.
  • Organising and managing the delivery of the Group's Student Awards Ceremonies, celebrating student achievements and ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees.
  • Lisaing efficiently and effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders for any local, regional or national award ceremonies where the Group is involved.
  • Providing relevant support to ensure the effective and timely delivery of the Group's External Stakeholder Strategy to improve relations with local, regional and national communities including:
  • Supporting and maintaining the annual corporate events calendar.
About you:

Ideal candidates will have:
  • Degree in a related subject such as events management, business, marketing or equivalent level professional marketing qualifications.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
  • At least one years' experience of developing and implementing corporate events that have measurable impact.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing events end-to-end including managing budgets, communications internally and externally.
  • Good track record of liaising with colleagues and external partners in respect of delivering excellent events leading to satisfied external guests.
  • Demonstrable experience of using e-communications platforms for event administration.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to deal confidently and diplomatically with a range of people at all levels.
  • Strong judgement/initiative with the ability to effectively interpret and apply policies and procedures, understand and disseminate to staff.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Capacity to travel independently to the Group's campuses, exhibitions and events.
