This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Health & Social Care department within the busy and ever growing Public & Professional Industries (PPI) faculty, which also includes Early Years Education. This position has been designed to work closely with learners across Levels 1 - 3 including T-Levels and the delivery team to ensure that impactful quality teaching, learning and assessment is implemented whilst also providing high levels of support and guidance to all stakeholders.

Applicants must hold relevant industry experience and ideally be experienced in FE teaching (experience of delivering Level 3 Biology is desirable), enthusiastic, committed, and flexible in their approach to work, whilst being able to function effectively under pressure. This role includes curriculum coordination in conjunction with the Study Programme Lead and Curriculum Manager to ensure that external policies and procedures are followed, whilst the successful applicant would be expected to develop and implement robust Quality Assurance procedures in line with awarding body and college expectations.

In addition, liaison with parents/careers whilst monitoring and reporting on learner performance and progression is also pivotal in this role. The role also requires planning and coordination of enrichment opportunities for learners e.g. guest speakers, trips, visits etc.

PPI is home to hundreds of bright and enthusiastic students, and many talented and experienced staff. We are passionate about providing the qualifications and training that local employers and communities need.

Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.

In return, Abingdon & Witney College offer excellent benefits to our employees including generous pension and holiday schemes (with potential Christmas closure days), continued professional development, flexible working options, corporate gym membership, cycle/tech scheme and much more.

Closing date: 30 th June 2024 (midnight)
