We have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice at our Bicton campus. You will be providing high standards of care and welfare which are paramount and also the desire to develop the skills of others. The role will include maintaining the facilities on the college yard and assisting in the management of the Equestrian Centre. This will include early shifts, late shifts and weekend work on a rolling rota. The equestrian centre provides the facilities and resources to support our students as they develop their skills towards their qualifications and future careers.

Working with other professionals such as the vet and farrier would be a regular part of the role as would be communicating professionally with our working livery and DIY owners. As an equine apprentice you would be required to ride and school horses and would also have the opportunity to join lessons to develop your own skills. Interest in developing coaching skills and BHS qualifications would be very desirable.

The role will consist of four days on site and one day studying for an Equine Groom level 2 qualification.
