About the role as a Construction/Multi-trade Teacher:
Activate Learning are looking for a professional and motivated Multi Trades tutor for our Foundation Construction provision, with experience of delivering high quality sessions in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry specialisms, experience in other trade areas is also beneficial. The successful candidate will join our Lifeskills faculty team and deliver purposeful, practical lessons to our 16-18 foundation level learners.
We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. Being a multi skilled practitioner with the motivation, passion, and positive attitude with the ability to inspire, so that our students have a memorable learning experience is crucial in this role.
What do you need to be a successful Construction/Multi -Trades teacher at Activate Learning?
We have an excellent record of delivering vocational courses with employability embedded at their heart. This is achieved through excellent relationships with industry and the employment of experts with extensive professional experience within the teaching team.
You will need to hold, or be actively working towards a teaching qualification and need extensive knowledge of the subject area in order to delivery both practical and theory sessions. It is also essential that you can engage and interact with young people to ensure they are supported and inspired to achieve their goals.
You will have experience in teaching 16-18 year old foundation level learners, some experience with ESOL leaners would also be an advantage.
Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to impart knowledge and skills to a diverse range of learners.
