Lecturer A – Sport Coaching

We have exciting opportunities in our Sport Department for a Sports Coaching Lecturer, full time at 37 hours.

You will provide information to customers and advice and guidance to potential, existing and new students on a range of issues and promote the services of the College. Supporting students with their career goals and contributing to the achievement of the College aims and objectives.

Ideally, you will:

• Hold a degree or equivalent in a Sports Coaching or Sports Development subject
• Possess a PGCE / Cert Ed. at Level 5 teaching qualification or equivalent or a willingness to work towards.   
• Hold GCSE’s in English and maths
• Experience within the sport and leisure industry - Sports Coaching experience preferable.
• Excellent knowledge of sport and education and the factors affecting these.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

• Delivering high quality and inclusive teaching and learning on one or more courses.
• Support the curriculum management on curriculum and course development.
• Take part and comply with all quality assurance procedures and systems within the area of responsibility.
• Developing resources, supporting teaching programmes and deliver on a number of courses as required.
• Supporting the achievement of annual targets for learner numbers, income, expenditure and success rates.
