Vocational Trainer / Assessor - Early Years

This is a part time, working 29.6 hours per week.

We have both a permanent and a maternity cover post available.

Day to day duties of the role

  • To provide high quality teaching, learning, assessment and internal moderation across a range of Early Years and Education courses.
  • To course coordinate programmes of study and be responsible for the success of learners on programme through workplace assessment.
  • Tutorship of students, giving appropriate support to enable students to achieve their academic and vocational targets.
  • Interviewing and giving guidance to potential students.

Required skills and qualifications

  • An NVQ/ VRQ/ Apprenticeship to level 3 or equivalent Early Years Educator and/or Teaching Assistant.
  • Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies.
  • Relevant professional or commercial experience.Competence in IT.
