Milton Keynes College Prison Services Team at HMP Whitemoor are seeking innovative Teachers/Tutors to deliver to a diverse group of learners, helping to build their confidence, develop their skills and achieve within a college environment. The College are looking for candidates interested in variable/ad-hoc and permanent hours, who are keen to explore Prison Education.

HMP Whitemoor are currently looking for individuals with one or more of the below skillsets to support their curriculum delivery – Ability to cover more than 1 of these areas would be beneficial.

  • Functional Skills English - Entry to Level 2
  • Functional Skills Maths - Entry to Level 2
  • Vocational Cover Tutors
      • Mentoring/ ICT / Hospitality / Art/Graphics

A teaching qualification would be desirable, however those willing to work towards a teaching qualification who hold supporting subject specialism or industry experience would also be considered - we can provide the training to help you achieve your full potential.

Prison education runs all year round, all day Monday – Thursday and until lunchtime on a Friday. Delivery hours vary slightly prison to prison but full days are split across 2 longer lessons (Morning and Afternoon).
