JOB TITLE: HEAD SECURITY/ CARETAKER

LOCATION: CAMBRIDGE (MILTON CAMPUS)

HOURS: 37 PER WEEK, MONDAY TO FRIDAY (ROTA BETWEEN 7.30AM AND 7PM)

SALARY: £27,497 - £28,782 PER ANNUM (INCLUSIVE OF A NON-CONTRACTUAL £2,000 RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION PREMIUM, REVIEWED ANNUALLY)

This is a rare opportunity to join our Property Services team at our Cambridge campus taking responsibility for leading the team and operations on the ground. The main duties of this role include managing the operations team to include caretaking, housekeeping maintenance and cleaning tasks to include supervision, rota production and monitoring and tracking of tasks. You will be involved in risk assessments, reporting and will work closely with the wider college team to include the Health and Safety Officer and the college's Operations and Maintenance Manager. This is a varied role involving some security duties including ensuring that the site is safe and secure, addressing behaviour issues as appropriate and providing a first aid service. Our site team all provide hands on support, and this role involves physically demanding tasks such as painting, gritting, waste collection and driving college vehicles. You must have previous experience of working in a similar role and good DIY skills, whilst a trade related qualification would be desirable it is not essential. Full training, including first aid, staff management and training on college systems and processes will be provided.
