About the Role

The successful applicant will work alongside the Pathway Manager for Music and other peers to plan and deliver an exceptional music curriculum. Your leadership will support our dedicated course team, ensuring the highest standards of student achievement and quality teaching. You will lead the planning and delivery of the music curriculum, support and organise routine team operations, and ensure the efficient implementation of College policies and procedures. Creating a positive climate with high expectations for student achievement, you will develop and maintain course structures and schemes of work. Additionally, you will oversee internal and external examination and assessment administration, and monitor, evaluate, and advise on learner progress and achievement.

In addition to managing the course, you will be an outstanding teacher, setting high expectations and motivating students to excel. You will mark and assess student projects, providing innovative, practical, and employment-led training. As a role model, you will inspire our students to reach their full potential.

You will collaborate with others to share best practices and ensure that our learners get the highest quality experience. You will work amongst experienced, passionate tutors as well as within a support service provided by our Central Team. Working at Access Creative College means working with learners who are engaged and enthusiastic about the education they are gaining.

About You

You will have performance and technology skills; these are essential. You will be experienced in u sing DAWs, composing, recording and mixing. You'll have instrumental experience - understanding of voice and the fundamentals of performance. You'll be able to deliver voice and industry based sessions, supporting in the development of our learner's self-confidence.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills which will help you to effectively manage the delivery of high-quality lessons and Schemes of Work and to organise internal and external examination/assessment-related administration including the moderation and verification of coursework and internal course assessments.

You will have a degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related subject area, and maths and English qualifications at level 2 (GCSE), Grade 5/C, or above. A teaching qualification is highly desirable but if you don't have one, we will arrange for you to get one and provide you with time to study.

Salary Scale: £25,766 to £29,014 per annum.
