Food Technology Teacher - Suitable for an ECT

Tradewind are recruiting! Are you an Early Career Teacher of Food Technology looking for your first teaching role for September 2024 in Manchester?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a qualified teacher of food technology to join a secondary academy in Manchester.

This is a full-time temporary teaching contract suitable for a Food technology ECT to begin their ECT induction.

The Job

Teacher of Food Technology

Five days a week

Experience of the WJEC GCSE Food and Nutrition or AQA GCSE Food technology syllabus is beneficial

Delivery of food technology, nutrition and health and catering with a focus on innovative practical lessons

Positive confident behaviour management skills for safe practical learning of cooking and food preparation.

The ability to teach other technology subjects such as product design and Textiles to Key stage 3 would be beneficial.

The academy are interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers, experienced QTS practitioners and further education catering specialists with experience of teaching Food to students aged 11 to 18.

  • Have completed a PGCE or SCITT and hold ECT status or QTS status
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK with no restrictions
