Student Mentor (Term Time plus 2 weeks, 14 hours per week)

JOB TITLE       STUDENT MENTOR

HOURS             14 PER WEEK (TUESDAY TO THURSDAY)

SALARY           £7,995 - £8,275 PER ANNUM

CWA prides itself on the way we supports all of our students, regardless of their backgrounds and personal circumstances.  Student Mentors are a critical part of the support in place providing pastoral support and guidance, focussing on keeping learners in education where they are identified as at high risk of disengagement from their studies or withdrawal from the college.

Student Mentors work collaboratively with internal and external partners to provide multi-agency support and guidance to vulnerable students and learners at risk of leaving their course, and are actively involved in providing them with ongoing support throughout their studies.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in a similar or related role, and an awareness of issues that are likely to impact on young people’s success in education.  You will benefit from working with a supportive and hard-working team, and have access to great CPD opportunities to ensure that your knowledge and skills are kept up to date.  Working hours for this post are Tuesday 12.15-16.00, Wednesday 12.15-16.00 and Thursday 8.30-17.00.
