Policy and Projects Officer

AoC Sport is seeking a Policy & Projects Officer to support the delivery of sports policy and project work in colleges across the South of England. A key part of the role is to act as the lead voice and primary point of contact for college sport in the area, cascading and informing national policies and initiatives while building effective relationships with a wide range of partners in both the college and sport sectors.

The role also offers the opportunity to design, manage and evaluate projects designed to enhance sport and physical activity, increase participation among FE students and sustain sports programmes within colleges. Candidates should have a good understanding of the FE Sector, education policy and how it impacts on sport in colleges, as well as experience of managing projects and maintaining strong relationships with partner organisations.

To be successful in this role you must be able to work with a wide range of partners to achieve shared outcomes, be equally happy to work collaboratively within a team and independently, be proactive in building partnerships and able to make decisions quickly. It is important that you can review and analyse new information quickly and accurately and use it to produce clear messages for a range of audiences. You should also value diversity at work, be prepared to work flexibly, manage multiple priorities and take responsibility for completing the job at hand to a high standard. Hours: Part time, 30 hours per week/4 days a week (0.8 FTE)
