Salary                        Point 16 - £20,270.74 per annum, pro-rata of £23,409 per annum

Are you passionate about maths and eager to make a difference?

We’re seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support learners achieving their GCSE maths qualifications in an immersive learning environment. You’ll provide one-to-one guidance, manage classroom behaviour, and collaborate with a remote teacher to deliver engaging lessons. Additionally, you’ll work with small groups, mark assignments, and aim to become a fully qualified HLTA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the teacher in supporting student learning
  • Communicate effectively with students and provide in-class support
  • Act as a liaison between students and the remote teacher
  • Manage and monitor student behaviour, reporting incidents as required
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure lesson content familiarity
  • Maintain student focus during lessons
  • Work closely with curriculum and support teams
  • Offer pastoral support and refer students to appropriate services
  • Complete administrative tasks to track student progress
  • Deliver intervention sessions as needed
  • Mark assignments in line with exam board guidelines
  • Promote the importance of maths to students and staff
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality, student-centred education
