One-to-One Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant - One-to-One and Mainstream Support

Location: Co-Educational School and Sixth Form in Kensington and Chelsea

We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. This full-time role involves providing one-to-one support to a student for 1 to 2 hours per day, followed by mainstream classroom support for the remainder of the day.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized assistance to a student with specific learning needs.
  • Help the student set and achieve academic goals.
  • Collaborate with the teacher to create and implement a tailored learning plan.
  • Assist the student with daily tasks and activities.
  • Offer emotional support and encouragement.
  • Monitor and report on the student's progress to the teacher.
  • Support teaching in mainstream classrooms.
  • Aid the teacher with lesson planning and preparation.
  • Help students with classwork and homework.
  • Foster students' academic and personal growth.
  • Continuously monitor student progress and communicate findings to the teacher.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally, hold an advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong passion for education and commitment to making a positive impact on students' lives.
