Reed Further Education are currently registering Science Lecturers who are looking for work for next academic year Sept 2024. They will deliver Physics, Chemistry and Biology up to level 2/ level 3 to students aged 14-16 and/or 16-19 years old. We are working with colleges and sixth forms based in the Nuneaton area. The roles are temporary ongoing during term times and hours can be part-time and full-time depending on availability at the college.

Job Title: Science Lecturer

Position: Part-Time/ Full-Time

Salary: £28 - £35p/h including holiday pay

Day to Day of the role:

• Prepare and deliver engaging GCSE/ A-level Sciences (Physics and/or Chemistry and/or Biology) lessons tailored to students.
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment to facilitate learning and student engagement.
• Implement effective classroom management techniques to handle challenging behaviour constructively.
• Assess student understanding and progress, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
• Collaborate with educational staff to develop teaching materials and strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum level 3 qualification in Sciences or a related field.
• Teaching qualification i.e PGCE, AET, Cert Ed, etc.
• Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-level Sciences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, resilient, and passionate approach to teaching.
