We are recruiting for a full-time experienced and well organised technician to join the team at Common Leys Farm campus. This is an exciting post, giving the successful applicant the opportunity to work across the farm estate and horticulture department.

We are looking for someone keen to maintain the campus grounds, carry out machinery operations and estate maintenance, provide support to instructors who teach on the horticulture courses and help with producing stock for our farm shop where we will sell our own vegetable and plants grown on site.

You should be qualified to a minimum of level 2 in a recognised and relevant subject and have recent experience of working within a farm, garden, or a college environment. You must enjoy working with young people and be confident working with and supervising students in a wide variety of routine duties.

The role is full time and includes working a weekend day each week, but there can be some flexibility throughout the year.

You would be part of a dedicated, flexible team of lecturers, instructors, technicians and support staff based at the farm.

In return, Abingdon & Witney College offer excellent benefits to our employees including generous pension and holiday schemes (with potential Christmas closure days), continued professional development, flexible working options, corporate gym membership, cycle/tech scheme and much more.
