Nail Technician

About the role as a Nail Technician:

Activate Learning is offering an exciting opportunity for a Nail Technician to teach our dynamic and inspiring students at Reading College.

In this role, you will teach and assess primarily at Levels 1, 2, and 3. We seek a confident and enthusiastic individual who can deliver engaging and practical lessons, recognising and nurturing each student's unique talents.

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Reading campus, with occasional travel to other campuses as needed.

What do you need to be successful as a Nail Technician at Activate Learning?

We seek individuals who can serve as role models for our students, ensuring they graduate not only with professional qualifications but also with the skills necessary to thrive in the workplace.

Candidates must have at least a Level 3 qualification in Nail Technology, recent industry experience, and current knowledge of the nail industry to help shape the next generation of professionals.

Although prior teaching experience and qualifications are advantageous, they are not mandatory. If you have the qualifications to teach nail technology and possess the qualities of an inspiring teacher, we will provide the necessary training, development, and support to prepare you for teaching in the further education (FE) sector.

About You:

  • Essential: Level 3 or higher qualification in nail technology and experience as a nail technician
  • Essential: Assessors award or willingness to obtain it within the first 3 months
  • Desirable: Teaching qualification and experience in education as a teacher

You should also have strong organisation skills, the ability to prioritise workloads, and the ability to thrive in a supportive team environment. This role offers a variety of opportunities for career development in a dynamic and engaging setting.
