Student Bursary Assistant

22.2 hours per week

£14,050.20 - £14,653.20 per annum (actual salary)

We have an exciting opportunity in our Student Finance team for someone who has a passion for supporting our learners and ensuring that they are receiving the right financial help to help them to achieve their goals.

As a member of the team you’ll be responsible for the implementation of College and Government financial regulations and guidance in order to support learners in their studies

Ideally, you will:

• Be customer focussed and have experience of working in a customer facing role
• Enjoy supporting learners to achieve their goals
• Be confident and clear in communicating information and advice to learners and carers
• Have proficient administrative skills
• Be able to enthusiastically engage with CPD and grow your skills
• Be excited to bring fresh ideas to the table and help us constantly improve

Day-day responsibilities:

• Interpret bursary guidance and relay advice and information to learners and carers
• Validate and approve learner applications for eligible bursaries, in line with the appropriate guidance
• Authorise bursary awards to learners
• Share in the staffing of a learner facing desk to deal with learner queries and hand out bursary awards
• Contribute to building a positive team relationship between learners and colleagues
