Teacher of Criminology & Sociology

Sociology and Criminology Teacher

  • Location: Central London
  • Job Type: Part-time (23 hours per week)
  • Salary: £25-30 per hour

We are seeking an experienced A-level Sociology and Criminology Teacher for short-term cover. This is a temporary position while our client recruits for a permanent candidate.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Delivering engaging and informative lessons in A-level Sociology and Criminology.
  • Preparing lesson plans, teaching materials, and assignments.
  • Assessing and evaluating students' progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintaining classroom discipline and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop curriculum and share best teaching practices.
  • Attending staff meetings and contributing to the development of the department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience teaching A-level Sociology and Criminology.
  • Strong understanding of the current curriculum and examination requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
